Adding sub-hoods

Since this is such a gargantuan project, I have decided to gradually expand the uberhood as I play in it, rather than merging everything all at once. Thus, I will play each sub-hood for one season (6 days in my game), and add a new sub-hood at the start of the next season.

This is not an « unlock the uberhood » type of challenge, in the sense that I don’t need to achieve anything in game before adding a neighborhood. I simply wanted to space things out so that I don’t risk burning out, as I can easily alternate between building and playing.

I have planned a specific order to add the neighborhoods, but it might change based on the storylines created by the Sims.

1 – Belladonna Cove.

This will be the main hood, and thus the beginning of the story. This is were most of SimCity’s institutions are found.

2 – Strangetown.

Strangetown will become the military base, as well as the most important science hub of SimCity. Civilians will not be allowed to live there, unless they received a special authorization from the government.

3 – Pleasantview.

Pleasantview is a quiet suburb not to far from Belladonna Cove. It has the advantage of being cheaper than the city center.

4 – SimState University, La Fiesta Tech, Académie La Tour

All universities are scheduled to open in time for back to school season.

5 – Desiderata Valley

Desiderata Valley is another suburb located close to Belladonna Cove. It is the perfect neighborhood to raise a family, although real estate prices are quite high.

6 – Downtown

While Belladonna Cove is the political center of SimCity, Downtown is where the true celebrities live.

7 – Bluewater Village

Bluewater Village has become a hot-spot for jet-setters and old money families who appreciate quiet and discretion over the frenzy of Downtown.

8 – Veronaville

Veronaville is a beautiful town not very far from Bluewater Village. Its beautiful landscapes and rich local cuisine attracts lots of tourists each year.

9 – Riverblossom Hills

Riverblossom Hills is part of the remote countryside. Its inhabitant can enjoy fresh air, peace and quiet, but living so far from the city comes with its own challenges.

10 – Vacation Destinations

While not officially a part of SimCity, the vacation subhoods will also be included. Hopefully, diplomacy can help strengthen the bond between SimCity and the rest of the world.
