Orphanage – Winter 03

Now that Simmerley is a decent sized town, it was time to establish proper social services to ensure that all children are well taken care of. The City council recruited Ms. Alma Peregrine to become the new social worker.

Alma Peregrine is a very sweet Sim who believes in the importance of receiving a good education. While she is a human, she has a special condition that does not allow her to age. Her personality is 8 5 5 3 4 and her traits are proper, neat, nurturing, friendly and snob. She is a Knowledge / Family Sim and a Virgo.

Miss Peregrine’s foster home is currently occupied by 7 orphans.

Bruce Wayne (right) is a very angsty teen with a troubled past. Bruce is a Knowledge Sim who dream of becoming a Mad Scientist. His personality score is 7 5 9 2 2 and his traits are brooding, ambitious, brave and night owl. He is a Scorpio. Bruce is attracted to fit and athletic females who don’t have facial hair.

Violet Baudelaire (left) is quite the opposite. She is nice and very mature for her age, especially since she has to look after her two younger siblings, Klaus and Sunny. Violet is a Popularity Sim who dream of becoming a Media Magnate someday. Her personality is 5 5 4 5 6 and her traits are genius, eccentric, handy and artistic. Violet is an Aquarius. She is turned on by young males skilled in mechanics and logic with no charisma. Her favourite hobby is cuisine.

Klaus Baudelaire (next to Violet) is also a little genius just like his sister. He is also a bookworm with the perceptive trait,( his personality score is 10 4 5 1 5) and he is passionate about science. His zodiac sign is Virgo.

Sunny Baudelaire (in Bruce’s arms) is a Sagittarius with the traits daredevil and animal lover. Her personality is 3 4 7 7 4.

The girl with the lovely side braid and blue dress is none other than Elsa Arendel. She is a Capricorn with a 7 3 4 3 6 type personality. Her traits are loves the cold, loner and perfectionist. She also have dormant witch powers.

Her younger sister, Anna Arendel (in Miss Peregrine’s arms) is a Libra. Her personality is 3 8 2 7 5 and her traits are socially awkward and excitable.

Finally, the boy with the round glasses in the middle is Mr. Harry Potter. Harry is a Leo with a 4 3 4 5 7 personality. His traits are brave, friendly and unlucky. Harry is also a wizard (of course).

Now that everyone has been introduced, it’s time to move in!

Welcome to the orphanage!

If you haven’t seen the tour of the house, you can check it out here.

Day 1, Wednesday

Instead of the welcome bandwagon, the priest Jellal Fernandez was the only one who showed up.

Hurry up, we’re waiting!

Miss Peregrine was busy at the kitchen, so Violet went to greet him in her stead.

He even joined them for lunch.

Later, the kids spent the evening in the library.

Battle of the brains! Who will win?

Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne is relieving stress on the sofa, while nobody is watching.

Alma is taking care of the laundry. Little Anna always follow her around.

Soon, it’s time for every one to go to bed.

Also, why is Harry sleeping with his head upright and eyes opened ?!

Alma can finally go to sleep in peace. The first day at the orphanage went perfectly well.

Day 2, Thursday

The sun rises, and a new day begins.

And what a best way to start your day than by insulting the first person to cross your path for no reason !

Soon, Miss Peregrine is up from the sound of desperate tears and grouchy teen’s hormones. Today might be a rough one…

Fortunately, the older kids soon head off to school.

Alma can focus her attention on the young ones.

But she barely has time to do anything that it’s already time for the teens to come home.

Bruce came back with his classmate Serena Smith.

And Violet invited Arya Caragne.

(I wanted them to socialize a bit but it was too difficult to take care of so many Sims, plus toddlers, plus taking care of everybody’s homework, so I almost immediately sent them home. Sorry.)

Once all the homework is finished, it’s time for a move night!

Bruce the loner couldn’t be bothered to hang out with the others. Nah. He’s too good for them.

Klaus and Elsa both discovered a passion for science.

Day 3, Friday

And this is the part of the round where things really got hectic.

(I wanted them to throw a Winter’s Day party and all, but it was just too difficult to play with a house full of children. From now on, I was just trying my best to keep everyone alive, and somewhat not miserable.)

Alma is up in the middle of the night for potty duty.

Yay! Anna is potty trained!

She is learning how to talk pretty fast.

(This is went I decided to change the layout of the rooms to accommodate desks for everyone. We are not doing the homework mayhem again tonight.)

Miss Peregrine’s bedroom was unlocked for one minute, and Harry could not resist the opportunity.

Don’t you have any mercy?!

And then I checked his wants panel.

No. Just NO.

Why don’t you go play downstairs with your comrades? That’s better.

Day 4, Saturday

It was only the fourth day, but Alma just could not take it anymore. All those kids running around, the pressure to keep each one of them happy and now, the lighting almost set the porch on fire!

It was just too much.

She regained her spirits after a quick visit from the (imaginary?) shrink, but she still wasn’t in a happy mood.

So Violet decided to help, and she took upon her to teach her little sister to walk.

(Serioulsy, Violet was a lifesaver. She is so helpful around the house, unlike a certain Bruce…)

Day 5, Sunday

The boys were exhausted after playing all day.

Instead of a fancy New Year’s Eve dinner, Alma just had the energy to cook up some Grandma’s soup. Hey, at least it’s healthy!

And that’s how we wrap our round at the orphanage.

Next, we will play at the primary school!

Thank you for reading. ^^
