The Primary School

Welcome to SimCity’s Public Primary School!

Today we accompany Gabriel Green, for his first day as an Elementary School Teacher.

He also acts as the School director’s but he doesn’t get paid any extra for it.

Don’t pay attention to the hood deco school next door, it is placeholder for the future High School.

I am not in a rush to build it, because there are currently no High School students in the neighborhood. (Both Tara DeBateau and Justin Cleveland are enrolled in Private School), which will be a different lot). Next season is also Summer, so the schools will be closed anyway. Hence, we won’t need it until next Fall.

The school entrance leads to a grand staircase. The doors on the upper left are the bathroom, and the arch leads to the director’s office and teacher’s room.

On the ground floor, left from the entrance, is the cafeteria.

And on the right is this art/game room where the students can come if the weather is too bad to play outside.

The director’s office.

The teacher’s room. (It looks similar but it’s actually a different room.)

This is what the student’s toilets look like.

I was so happy to find this old school bathroom set, by complete accident! Apparently, this creator and I had the same childhood 🤭

Those yellow soap bars were so awful 😂

The classrooms are found upstairs. There are four one them, but I only took a screenshot of one since they are identical.

I left the walls bare on purpose, they will be decorated with creations from the students as time passes 🙂

The school can welcome a total of 32 students (8 per classroom). Hopefully that should be enough to cover the entire uberhood. (At least for the first few generations…)

I realize now that the lamp is blocking the blackboard. I will have to remember to change it!

I am using Simlogical’s school mods to run the school. I love putting the pupil tokens in their actual classroom, with a little number to remember which one it is.

And when school is over, all the Sims leave towards a strategically placed fake bus sculpture 🙂
