Here is the original. It’s actually a nice house, event though it’s meant to look dull on purpose. Funnily enough, it looks more realistic than some houses I’ve seen in Belladonna Cove.

My version keeps the same layout, but I made it look like it came out of a dystopian movie.
I expanded the house a little bit, because the narrow hallways tend to cause annoying routing failures.

The awkward back door is still here.

The backyard has been rearranged a bit.

I did away with the watch tower with the telescope, to replace it with this amazing helicopter landing instead. The stairs are mostly there to make the structure look cool, but it’s also accessible by elevator.
I guess General Buzz won’t be able to spy on his neighbors anymore, but that’s a small price to pay in my opinion.

Let’s go inside the house.
Since this is detached military housing, I tried to keep it dull and bland. BUT, at the same time, it is the General’s house, so it has to feel a bit expensive. The General is supposed to have the nicest house in the base after all.

The living room

The dining room

The kitchen

The gym has been moved downstairs because it feels more sensible. It’s a bit smaller but still well equipped.

The downstairs bathroom

Upstairs.
The house is also equipped with air conditioning with all the rooms, to combat the heat of the desert.

Ripp’s bedroom.
I imagine that painting over the walls is strictly forbidden in military housing, so he tried to cover up the misery as best as he could.

Tank’s bedroom.
It’s almost as empty as his personality.

Buck’s bedroom. I tried not to make it too depressing but I’m not sure I succeeded.

General Buzz’ bedroom.

There was some extra space so I gave him this little office. He has to stay in contact with central command I assume.

Here is the layout.
Here is the top-down view of the tower in case you want to recreate it.
But wait a minute, the lot tour is not over!

I bet you didn’t notice this door on the side of the house.

Welcome to General Buzz’ top secret bunker!
Aliens could invade Strangetown at any moment (at least according to the General), so it’s best to be prepared!

His collection of weapons and ammunition.

Next is a kitchen stocked for survival.

The sleeping quarters and washroom

The sleeping quarters are tight but can accommodate up to 6 Sims!
