2 Cover Up Road

It was a struggle to make this house look like something coherent.

While it’s iconic, it has a lot of wasted space, and the routing is not the best. I also really dislike the triangle roofs.

Here is my makeover.

I expanded it quite a bit, because this house will welcome all the scientists, since they will be required to move to Strangetown to work at the Science Lab. (Except for the Beakers, since they already have their house.) This also explains why the three Curious brothers all live together as grown adults.

Even if I completely changed the shape of the house, I kept the iconic towers at the back.

It’s meant to look more modern and sci-fi-ish, to keep up with the space theme.

The entrance.

The main room with the kitchen.

And a TV corner.

This is where the weirdly shaped bathroom used to be. There’s now a nice, spacious hallway and an elevator to easily navigate between the floors (because there are a lot of them now).

The first door on the left leads to a spare bedroom.

All bedrooms now come with their own bathroom.

(I know, it’s not very private with the giant windows everywhere, but they are in the middle of the desert, there’s no neighbors nearby.)

But there’s also a real bathroom downstairs with a bathtub for future toddlers.

The laundry room. Event scientists can’t escape laundry.

Unless they can build a robot to do it for them, in this little workshop room.

The house also comes with its own greenhouse and lab.

I will build a proper Science Lab community lot eventually, but I assume most scientists are workaholics who also like to conduct experiments on their free time (or during their alien induced pregnancy leave).

The three brothers’ bedrooms are found on the second level.

Lazlo’s room.

Vidcund’s room.

Pascal’s room.

And the nursery.

The level above also has two spare bedrooms.

You might have noticed that all the rooms have sprinklers. In my mind Strangetown is a bit too far for emergency services to arrive quickly, thus fire prevention regulations are much stricter.

There is a fourth level, with currently empty rooms. They will probably be used as hobby rooms.

And of course, above that is the iconic telescope, sitting on its platform.
