Central Park

This post will condense all four lots making up the park, because they are simple enough that they don’t require a thousand pictures.

Let’s start with Central Park East and work our way up to Central Park West.

Central Park East is located right across the « Geary » district, and thus is supposed to be the more low class side of the park.

Here is a reminder of the original.

Here is my version. It doesn’t look as desolated as the original, because I think the contrast was little bit too dramatic.

But it has little hints of street culture, with a breakdance station and a roller rink.

The East Park also has a subway station. (It’s really hood deco, with a pedestrial portal shoved underneath, so Sims can spawn from there.)

Next up is Central Park, the second one from the right.

I really like the walked over paths on the grass, so I tried my best to keep them.

Other than that, I didn’t change much, except adding some nicer-looking trees and some deco to tie up the area.

I replaced the useless sandy area with a tiny mini golf.

On a side note, the toilets are all identical throughout the parks, and they all have a baby changing station.

Next is Central Park Pavilion.

Since this portion of the park already had an open stage, I went all out and turned it into a music festival.

I like to imagine that they will be free concerts in summer, but unfortunately at the moment we don’t have any musicians in town.

Here is a close up view of the stage, overlooked by the grand statue of Bella.

The truck is actually a building, this where the artists can get ready.

And finally, let’s have a look like at Central Park West, located near the nicer part of town.

I renovated this part last, so I didn’t realize that it also had a stage. But if felt a bit silly to have two, so I replaced it by a wedding gazebo.

This is the only wedding venue in the neighborhood so far. Timothy Riley and Vivian Cho will probably be the first ones to use it!

Similarly to Central Park West, it also has a subway station. I hesitated about keeping the kids playground, but I didn’t know what else to put in that space.
